Welcome to the music program at the LutheranChurch of the Incarnate Word! We offer here a multi-faceted music ministry, involving adult and youth choirs, vocal soloists and instrumentalists. In addition to our weekly services and special worship events during the major feasts and festivals of the church year, we also offer a monthly series of music events from October through May, as services of sung Vespers and recitals featuring artists of local, national and international acclaim. This Music Series, formerly known as “Second Sundays…Plus” celebrates its 30^th anniversary during the 2010-2011 season. Our sanctuary houses two organs: a historic 1869 instrument by Pennsylvania builder Samuel Bohler, and one the last instruments designed by Walter Holtkamp Sr.

Since the founding of the LutheranChurch of the Incarnate Word, music has been a central part of worship and community.  Saint Augustine’s belief, echoed by Martin Luther, that “when we sing, we pray twice” is given full expression here at Incarnate Word.  All are welcome!
