Fellowship Hour
It's a wonderful time to get acquainted, renew acquaintances, and catch up on the news. Many mingle for awhile, then head to the Sunday Forum or Bible Study. Planned events add to the fellowship we experience in the various ways we worship, learn, and serve at Incarnate Word. Between Sunday services, all are invited for a cup of coffee, tea, and doughnuts in our Auditorium |
Fastnacht
|
A fun-filled party before lent for the entire congregation. Fastnacht usually includes dinner, games, skits, individual performances (anything from Incarnate Word "talent" shows to even a "musical"), and the serving of Fastnacht pastries. |
Easter Egg Hunt
|
Children
from two to ten years old bring their favorite adults for fun crafts and
games, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt on the church lawn (weather
permitting). To see photos from the latest Easter Egg Hunt, click
on the thumbnail images. |
Steak Roast and Car Rally
|
Satisfy your sense of adventure at a challenging car rally concluding with a steak roast. |
Greater Incarnate Word Golf Open
| Golfing enthusiasts at Incarnate Word tee off
each summer at the Greater Incarnate Word Golf Open. Dinner follows the event. |
Annual Church Picnic
| Warm weather beacons us to the outdoors for fun and fellowship—a relaxing time for all the family. Lots of tasty food! Conversation! Games, including our infamous "egg toss" competition! |
Advent Gathering
| An afternoon of seasonal crafts for the whole family, carols and a devotional program. Crafts may include: spice garlands, graham cracker/candy houses, pine cone swags, and more. |
Norwegian Lutefiske Dinner
|
Hosted by the Sons of Norway, this delightful annual event immerses everyone in Norwegian culture, food, and humor at Incarnate Word. Watch for announcements preceding the second week in December. |
Potluck Supper and Games Night
Get together for tasty food and an annual evening of cards and board games with many of your Incarnate Word friends. |
