Our Structure

We believe god calls us to use our unique gifts at Incarnate Word to awaken us and others to the Gospel, equip all of us for discipleship, and send us out for ministry. With this call in mind, we will strengthen our ministries by expanding efforts to reach the unchurched, enhancing our care of members, providing specific means for growth in faith and service, and encouraging additional outreach compatible with our mission.. We will become a "mission driven" congregation.

Ministry Teams

Groups of people who, based on spiritual gifts and interests:

  • Fulfill current ministries (e.g., Altar Guild, ushers, education faculty, Wellness Center, choirs, youth advisors,  stewardship, community service projects, Sudanese refugees)

  • Develop new congregational and community ministries compatible with our Mission, Vision, and resources

  • Pursue Luther's idea of the "priesthood of all believers," i.e., all the baptized are called to ministry in the worldrelated to their individual gifts

  • Accept accountability to their respective Core Groups
