Women of the ELCA activities, studies, and commitments are guided by the organization's purpose which states: |
|
"As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our calling, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in church, the society, and the world." WELCA embraces all women of Incarnate Word. There are two Circles at Incarnate Word.
Incarnate Word women are active in all aspects of our church
life. As Women of the ELCA, they specifically serve our homebound at Christmas and Easter with gifts of cookies
or plants and a decorative favor and may participate in the Martha Guild or the
Altar Guild. |
